Health Law and Policy Seminar Series

The Health Law and Policy Seminar Series includes guest speakers to the Faculty of Law. It is open to all interested students and faculty and can also be taken for credit by graduate students. Health Care, Technology, and Place Seminar Series

The HCTP seminars are a forum for HCTP Faculty and Fellows to receive constructive feedback on research-in-progress from an attentive, expert audience. Following a speaker presentation, two discussants specifically selected for their orthogonally related research expertise, respond to presenter's work. The discussants highlight alternative but complementary approaches to data collection, interpretation, and/or theory development.

Knowledge Translation Rounds

The Council of Health Science and Social Work Deans at the University of Toronto sponsors the Interprofessional Education (IPE) initiative, based on learning from, about, and with other health care professionals and the development of collaborative practice skills. Institute for Life Course and Aging Seminar Series

The Institute for Human Development, Life Course, and Aging has a mandate to carry out research into the process of human development, life course and aging, population aging, and the aged, in the social, psychological and health sciences. The Institute hosts a noon hour seminar, held weekly, as well as the annual Abernethy Lecture. All are welcome and the events are free.

The Life Sciences Career Development Series (LSCDS) is a student-run initiative at U of T, supported by the Faculty of Medicine and the School of Graduate Studies. LSCDS hosts a monthly seminar series, an annual conference, and other special events to highlight the various career paths that can stem from a life sciences graduate degree. 2006 CHSRF Primary Healthcare Network National Symposium, Vancouver BC, September 19-20, 2006. The CHSRF symposium will be held in conjuction with the CAHSPR annual meeting in Vancouver this year. Abstract submission and registration for both is conferences available online via the CAHSPR website (as above). Abstract deadline is March 31, 2006. Reduced conference registration fees for students/CAHSPR members.
